Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 September 2026
This policy explains how Hauz-Assist Pty Ltd (ACN 689 917 342) of Level 15, 355 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000 (“Hauz-Assist”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through hauzassist.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Your enquiry does not affect your credit file
Booking a discovery call is a request for information only. We do not carry out a credit check, we do not obtain a credit report about you, and we do not record any enquiry against your credit file. Nothing on this website constitutes an application for credit. No credit reporting body is involved at this stage, so your credit score is not affected.
If your circumstances later progress to a point where a credit check would be needed, that is a separate step. We would explain it, and we would ask for your express consent in writing first.
What we collect
Through the discovery call form we collect only what you type into it:
- Your name;
- Your email address and phone number, so we can reply;
- Any description of your situation you choose to give us. This field is optional and free-text — please include only what you are comfortable sharing.
Our web server also records standard technical information with each submission, including your IP address, the time of the request and your browser’s user-agent string. This is used to prevent automated abuse of the form and to diagnose faults.
We do not ask for, and the form does not collect, your date of birth, government identifiers, bank account or card details, or tax file number. Please do not send these to us by email.
Why we collect it
- To contact you about the discovery call you asked for;
- To understand your situation well enough to have a useful conversation;
- To keep a record of the consent you gave us;
- To meet our record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your consent. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time and we will.
Who we may share it with
We may disclose your personal information to:
- Our service providers, where necessary to operate our business — for example our web hosting provider (GoDaddy) and our email provider, who store the enquiry in the ordinary course of delivering it to us;
- Professional advisers, such as our lawyers or accountants, where required;
- Anyone else you expressly ask or authorise us to;
- A regulator, court or law enforcement body, where we are required or authorised by law to do so.
Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we store and protect it
Enquiries are delivered to a monitored business mailbox and retained on our hosting account in a location that is not publicly accessible from the web. We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and reputable providers to protect your information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which we destroy or de-identify them.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own, and it does not run behavioural advertising pixels. Our web host inserts a performance-monitoring script into pages it serves, and web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means those providers receive your IP address as part of serving the page. Neither has access to the contents of your enquiry form.
Accessing or correcting your information
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.
You may also ask us to delete the information we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we have the chance to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
